John Lennon Songwriting Contest Grand Prize Win

I just got some fun news…a song I co-wrote called “Shade of Blue” has won the Grand Prize in the country category of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest! I wrote the song with Tedd Swormstedt a few years ago as part of a coach co-writing session over zoom, and we had a lot of fun brainstorming all the different shades of blue that we were able to incorporate into the lyric.

I’ve shared the story behind the song, the demo, and my guitar-vocal worktape from the day it was written with my Ko-fi club, where pledging a monthly cup of coffee unlocks access to all my unreleased songs and behind the scenes stories, plus new monthly posts of original songs.
